To my readers, you have changed my life. Reading is a safe escape from the world, a chance to empathize with those so unimaginably distinct from you and an opportunity to live a thousand lives, fall endlessly, and love irrevocably in a single existence. But beyond that, there is nothing more beautiful and healing than seeing a part of yourself that’s riddled with insecurities and vulnerabilities embodied by a character that a writer deemed worthy enough for an audience. To any of you that my stories reach and resonate with, I want you to know that the reason these characters were scribed into fruition is because you are loved transcendently, despite your belief that these attributes may be a flaw.
